This controller board is one of the development boards of Arduino boards and is used in the construction of 3D printer or three-axis CNC. The RAMPS 1.6 board is a shield to convert the Arduino MEGA board into a 3D printer controller, and the combination of RAMPS 1.6 and Arduino MEGA creates a complete control system for 3D printers.
The RAMPS 1.6 controller board in 3D printers supports two extruders and can run five stepper motors, which can be increased by adding an extension board. The A4988 and DRV8825 stepper motor drivers are easily mounted on this board.
